Location

Quinta do Pisão is located in the middle of northern Portugal, about 3 km from the village of Penalva do Castelo (cozy weekly market, 2 supermarkets, a few terraces, post office, swimming pool, library, health center, dental clinics, pharmacies, bookstores).

... and about 7 km from the somewhat larger village of Mangualde (interliner bus station, train station, 4 large supermarkets, city park, terraces & restaurants, praia LiveBeach, shops).

Viseu is the nearest large city, by car you are here in 20 minutes (historic city center, cathedral, interliner bus station, large shopping centers, plenty of terraces & restaurants, discos).

Quinta do Pisao can be reached as follows

By car from the Netherlands. From the Spanish-Portuguese border at Vilar Formoso, follow the A25/E802 west towards Guarda/Viseu/Aveiro. Take exit 22: Mangualde/Penalva do Castelo, then follow Penalva do Castelo (Northbound EN329-1). After 6 km you will cross a bridge, then immediately turn left. Now follow the signs to Quinta do Pisao. (For the last few km you will also receive the route description by email after reservation).
The nearest airport is Porto (OPO), about 150 km away. Here you can rent a car (travel time 1h40) or take the direct interliner bus from the city to Viseu or Mangualde (bus travel time 1h50). We can provide you with pick up from the bus station, transfer costs are 10 euros.
Ryanair flies to Porto from Eindhoven, Maastricht and Weeze, among others.
Lisbon Airport (LIS) is about 300 km away. Here you can rent a car (3h journey) or take the direct train from nearby train station Ori ë nte to Mangualde (train duration 3h07). We can provide you with pick up from the train station, transfer costs are 10 euros.
KLM/TAP and Transavia fly from Schiphol to Lisbon.
